Domain names secondary market

An increasing proportion of more than 800,000 Internet names with the “.pl” suffix was a part of the so called secondary market. Growth perspectives, possible threats and potential of the Polish domain market where the topics discussed by participants of the first conference of this kind, entitled “Domain Names Secondary Market in Poland”, held on January 25 in Warsaw.

The NASK radio network is growing

In the all-country broad-band radio network, being built by NASK, eighteen radio transmitters are already working. Four base stations located around Warsaw: in Pruszków, Legionowo, Wołomin, and Karczewo, have joined the previously active base stations in Warsaw, Gdańsk, Gdynia – Jaśkowa Kopa, Gdynia – Oksywie, Katowice, Kraków, Poznań, Wrocław and six base stations working within the project “e-świętokrzyskie”.

ISEE/SECURE 2007 Conference

September 25th marks the beginning of Warsaw’s ISSE/SECURE 2007 being the largest European conference on data communications safety. The conference will last three days at the Conference Center of Warsaw University and is to assembly approximately 400 participants from all over Europe.

New site of the ARAKIS system

A new website was launched for the ARAKIS early warning system designed by the CERT Polska team at NASK, in conjunction with NASK’s Research Department and IT Projects Group. You can check network traffic as it is being monitored at http://www.arakis.pl.

Wireless Internet in Wrocław

NASK is still rapidly developing its wireless network. Another radio access point was installed in Wrocław. Based on that system, NASK offers its B2B clients high quality transmission services: broadband Internet, corporate networks, landline telephony and digital links compliant with the strictest, SLA-guaranteed parameters.
